‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 4 spoilers: Nina Dobrev’s turn, Phoebe Tonkin’s return
Ever since we first heard that Phoebe Tonkin was going to be cast in the “Vampire Diaries” spin-off show “The Originals,” there was one primary question that we had: how in the world is she going to have her story tied in with Klaus and Elijah enough to actually head to New Orleans with the two of them? Well, we are now lucky enough to have an answer to this very thing courtesy of the official synopsis to the upcoming March 14 episode “Bring It On.”
You likely know already from watching the promo that Nina Dobrev’s Elena is going to be completing her turn into detached vampire, and that this is going to lead to some consequences; however, we also learn through here about Tonkin’s return, a surprising ally for Damon, and something pretty ugly that Elena gets involved in:
“Elena’s (Nina Dobrev) new outlook has everyone concerned, leading Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) to agree that going back to the normal routine of high school would be the best thing for her. Caroline (Candice Accola) is pleasantly surprised when Elena decides to rejoin the cheerleading squad, but her pleasure turns to shock when Elena’s behavior proves dangerous. Not giving up on their search for the cure, Damon and Rebekah (Claire Holt) work together until his unwanted advice catches her off-guard. Klaus (Joseph Morgan) tries to use Hayley (Guest star Phoebe Tonkin) to get the information he’s after and makes an intriguing discovery in the process. Meanwhile, a bored Elena throws a wild party and gets into an ugly fight.”
Could the discovery that Klaus makes be something that ends up taking him to New Orleans? It’s possible, especially considering the fact that the backdoor pilot for “The Originals” is set to air just a few weeks after this one. Daniel Gillies will also be back as Elijah before that time, and the stage will therefore be set.
Overall, how extreme are you predicting Elena’s turn will be after turning off her humanity? If you want to see what the future for both Damon and Stefan on “The Vampire Diaries” could be, be sure to check out the story over at the link here.
