ABC’s ‘Scandal’ season 2 spoilers: Katie Lowes on dark twist for Quinn
Even though there are set to be some more procedural components through the rest of “Scandal” season 2, at least compared to the lengthy arc that we saw through the end of episode 13, there are still some stories that are going to play out over time. One of these such stories is going to be all about watching the slow devolution of one Quinn Perkins. She is about to go down a pretty dark path, and it is all courtesy of a man in Huck who certainly knows a thing or two about moral gray areas already.
In a new interview with Entertainment Weekly, Katie Lowes elaborates a little bit about how working with Huck is actually going to change her character in many ways, especially when it comes to really finding her place at Olivia Pope’s den of drama and insanity:
“I think it’s a real turning point for Quinn because she’s actually really good at it. I think we can expect to see more things like that … Quinn [has] really searching to be good at something and where to fit in at Olivia Pope [and Associates]….So I think because she’s a natural at the Huck stuff, I think that’s what we can expect to see her getting good at.”
Lowes adds that executive producer Shonda Rhimes first teased her with this development back before the cast took off for the Christmas vacation, and her excitement was immediately palpable. With that in mind, getting the opportunity to actually play out this sort of part must be a complete thrill.
