‘The Good Wife’ season 4 spoilers: More details on ‘Fringe’s’ John Noble
So who is John Noble going to be playing on “The Good Wife” when he stops by later on in season 4? Well, let’s just say that he may be taking on a part that is extremely important to the mythology of the character.
As you may have heard by now, the rumors are picking up (especially on Twitter) that the actor could by playing the part of Alicia’s long-missing father on the show, which from this standpoint would be a wonderfully meaty role for the actor to have straight from his part on “Fringe.” While TVLine would not confirm this to be true, they did present another valuable piece of evidence that could be used to support this theory: in the same episode in which Noble is set to appear, Stockard Channing will be returning to the show in her role as Alicia’s mom.
This is the first major guest-starring role for Noble since “Fringe” ended, and it was in some ways a forgone conclusion that he would be highly in demand given his underrated performance on the show. The only major question that remains is whether or not he will try to find a place for himself in pilot season, but there has not been any indication (at least publicly) that he plans on doing so for the time being.
This episode of “The Good Wife” will air a little later on in the season, as CBS would never waste an episode with so great a guest star against the Academy Awards on Sunday night.
