‘The Bachelor’: Desiree Hartsock forgives her brother after Sean Lowe tirade
Did Desiree Hartsock’s brother sense something was amiss with his sister and Sean Lowe? We don’t know for sure just what it was that turned him against “The Bachelor” during the hometown visit that aired Monday night, but a switch was seemingly flipped over the course of the evening, and he ended up being largely responsible for having his sister sent packing during the Rose Ceremony.
So is Des upset at her brother now that we are many months removed from the actual events unfolding? Based on a series of messages posted to her Twitter account after the show, it seems as though she has at least forgiven him, but she also suggests that Sean should have overlooked him if he really was interested in trying to make something work:
“Men may come and go but family is there long after the show. #lovemyfam #yeseventheoutspokenbro #lifeliveson … You can’t ruin something that isn’t complete so be easy on my bro. A man who truly loved me would see past the family member I hardly see.”
The issue involving Desiree and her brother is actually something that we have touched on time and time again with this franchise over the years. Had Des and Sean dated in real life, he may have been more willing to actually take her advice and decide that what really matters the most is how she feels about him. However, in the world of this show it does not exactly work like that. The man has options, and therefore he chose to keep the families that he saw himself getting along with a little bit better in what was a safer move.
What do you think about Desiree’s comments, and do you think that Sean would have ignored her brother more if he knew in his heart that she was his soul mate? If you want to see some more highlights from the “Sean Tells All” special Tuesday night, you can do so here.
