‘Once Upon a Time’ season 2 spoilers: Jennifer Morrison talks Emma, Neal’s future
Is there a hope that Emma Swan and Neal Cassady could at some point rekindle their-once fiery romance on “Once Upon a Time” season 2? Based on the comments coming out now, it seems reasonably unlikely that it will happen at any point in the weeks ahead. However, what this does not mean is that Emma is planning to completely kick Neal to the curb just after he was introduced to Henry and could potentially be a part of his life.
Speaking in a new interview with TVLine on the subject of Emma’s future, Jennifer Morrison is careful to say just what sort of role we could see Neal have over the rest of the season (which he be a part of to a much greater extent than he was in the first 13 episodes):
”Emma’s not going to forgive Neal or ask for him to be in her life romantically, but she at least feels that it would probably be best for Henry to have Neal in his life … But in the midst of Emma asking Neal [about that], it’s revealed to her that he has a fiancee, a whole life that’s been going on. So, that definitely is complicated!”
So is this fiancee someone else who is tied to a fairytale universe? That is to be seen, but hopefully there is going to be some sort of flashback episode coming up explaining what happened to this character from the time he let Emma go to the time he ended up in New York. Then again, we’re just as interested in hearing about Emma’s life in between prison and her career in Boston.
