‘The Good Wife’ season 4, episode 14: Did Alicia kiss [spoiler]?
“The Good Wife” is finally more than just “good” once again. It has been a pretty consistent threat that for a number of reasons throughout season 4, with the Kalinda / Nick story being the one that generated the vast majority of rage among some of the show’s diehard fans, there have been some issues that have kept the show at times from being the fantastic piece of television that we all know it can be. Luckily, much of these problems were forgotten about during what was a stellar episode entitled “Red Team, Blue Team.”
One of the real reasons this episode shined from the get-go was the return of Carrie Preston, who works alongside Eli (Alan Cumming) as though the two have been acquaintances all of their lives. If you take these two and add in Kyle MacLachlan, there was enough weirdness to last for weeks as these three professionals all had to try and work together.
While all of this was going on, we turn to Alicia finding her inner fire once again after realizing that she and Cary were being left in the dust when it came to being equal partners. There was clearly anger at Diane and Will over this situation happening, but if there is one thing we have learned about Alicia Florrick over four years, it is that rage often leads to kissing scenes! Fans of the Alicia / Will pairing probably found plenty to be happy about this week, though this did not feel like a “happily ever after” sort of moment. In the end, Alicia did get what she wanted … though Cary did not, and we wonder just what sort of trouble this is going to start down the road.
Overall, what did you think about Sunday night’s new “Good Wife” episode? If you want to read some more scoop about Preston, you can do so over at the link here.

The kiss was way out of storyline, there should of been an argument and telling Will to get out of her office. Her and Cary won over Will and Dianne and he was pissed. The part of being naïve is right on she is no predator, you need to have back bone and that’s missing. It takes 10 to 12 yrs in the real world to be considered as a junior partner, in 4 you screwed your way up.

Great episode, best this season! I loved the kiss, smartly done, as always, looking forward to more awkward moments between them. Relationships in the office are heating up, and evolution of Alicia from naïve to a predator over the years is done in really smart way. That is how you become the partner!
