‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 9, episode 15 review: Alex opens his eyes
There are a number of different ways in which we could look at Thursday night’s “Grey’s Anatomy” season 9 episode. From one standpoint, we could spend our time here talking all about the current state of the hospital crisis, but as you already know from watching the sneak peek here, most of our leading doctors made the decision in order to leave the hospital in a bold move to take on the sale of Seattle Grace to Pegasus.
Is this actually going to work out for them? It’s a big risk with a potentially big reward, but we will tragically not know the answer to this question for at least a little while longer. Instead, let’s focus on something else for a few minutes: relationships. After spending almost all season getting to really know her, Alex finally started to understand this week that he had feelings for Jo just as she was starting to date someone else. Don’t you hate it when this happens?
Meanwhile, we have a feeling that Jackson never really forgot about his feelings for April, which is why his “relationship” with Stephanie the intern (if you can really call it that to begin with) feels as flat as it does. Meanwhile, April was spending some time realizing that Matthew is pretty much herself in a make body, which she is probably starting to realize is a very, very bad thing in its own right.
There’s not too much else we can really say about this episode, mostly because it was one that presented a series of complicated situation, but failed to really give any answers to them. Think of this more as a building block to what is sure to be a landmark hour of TV next week, when some of these questions finally have answers to attach to them.
