‘The Bachelorette’: Sizing up Desiree Hartsock, Lindsay Yenter, and Sarah Herron

Last week, we ranked Desiree Hartsock, Lindsay Yenter, and Sarah Herron as the three most likely contenders to be “The Bachelorette” for the new season premiering in late May. So are they really the only candidates? Not necessarily; and with that in mind, we want to take this time to size up all nine of Sean Lowe’s contestants from “The Bachelor” that made it to Canada. Anyone before this stage is likely to just be ignored, after all.

Note that there are no spoilers in this article, and we’re judging every woman as if she and Sean are not engaged at this very moment.

Sarah Herron – She has a touching story, seems unique, and will instantly have people rooting for her. Need we say more about the likelihood of this happening? Odds: Very high

Daniella McBride – No real scream time, and despite being likable, she has little show. As for “Bachelor Pad,” that’s more of a possibility. Odds: Low

Selma Alameri – She’s currently dating Arie Luyendyk Jr., according to reports. With that in mind, she really doesn’t need any help … but if that doesn’t work out, “Bachelor Pad” would love her. Odds: Low

Tierra LiCausi – For one, she’s engaged. Also, there’s a better chance that Chris Harrison in a dress is “The Bachelorette” this coming season. Not happening. Odds: Extremely low

Lesley Murphy – She’s certainly nice enough, and she came across as someone who wanted to find love, but was nervous to take the leap with Sean. Our major concern? She looks like and has a similar personality to former “Bachelorette” Ali Fedotowsky. Odds: Moderate

AshLee Frazier – She’s still in the competition, and that always bodes well. However, we think that she may be too regimented and serious for this role; “The Bachelorette” has to be fun, and AshLee’s just not the right fit for that. Odds: Low

Catherine Giudici – Had Catherine been this sort of major character all season long, we think that she’d be a prime candidate. ABC would love to have some diversity with their “Bachelorettes,” and she’s very likable. Unfortunately, her lack of a major story arc until the past two weeks could do her in. Odds: Moderate

Desiree Hartsock – The only thing that Desiree is missing from a “Bachelorette” story right now is the reason why Sean doesn’t pick her (if that happens, of course). Her attitude has reminded us at times of Ashley Hebert during Brad Womack’s season, and she has a little bit of a different look than the past few leads. Odds: High

Lindsay Yenter – Another good choice, mostly because she exemplified “don’t judge a book by its wedding dress” when she at first seemed like a candidate to be sent home the first night. She knows how to have food, and also wants to find genuine love. Odds: High
