‘How I Met Your Mother’ season 8 spoilers: What’s coming up for Ted and Jeanette?

Earlier this week on “How I Met Your Mother,” we first saw Abby Elliot make an appearance as Jeanette, the crazy woman who Ted seems to love more and more despite her craziness burgeoning from one moment to the next. So is this relationship really going to last forever? We know that the answer here is “no,” but what may surprise you is just how quickly Ted makes the move to pull the plug on what he describes as one of his biggest mistakes.

On Monday, February 25, the CBS series is going to air the episode entitled “Weekend At Barney’s,” and it actually drops a pretty big spoiler in its official description:

“When Ted and Jeanette break up, Barney tries to help him land a new girl by using the infamous playbook Robin thought he had destroyed. Meanwhile, at a gallery opening where Lily hopes to make a good impression, Marshall ends up unintentionally getting noticed.”

So is this really going to be the end of Jeanette? Considering Ted’s ominous warning, we have a hard time believing this to be the case, and she is not going to take any sort of breakup particularly well.

On a more positive note, it is nice to see Lily getting back a little bit to what was her first love: art. Seeing her act as an elementary school teacher was nice, but it was also difficult considering we knew that she wanted to be doing something a little bit more creative with her day. Since Marshall is getting a chance to follow his dreams as a lawyer, it’s only appropriate that she would be doing the same.
