‘Dexter’ season 8 spoilers: Recently-promoted Aimee Garcia talks Quinn, Jamie
With Aimee Garcia being promoted to a series regular for “Dexter” season 8, there is one thing you have to assume almost straight out of the gate: we are going to be seeing some interesting action between her and Quinn … right? These two characters had a scene at the end of last year’s finale that suggested that a romance could bloom, and it is one that could be particularly troublesome for Dexter since Quinn is not blind to some of his actions the same way that Jamie is.
Of course, Garcia was mum in a new interview with Hypable about the subject of whether or not we are going to see this relationship happen on the show moving forward, but she did comment just on how Angel Batista would probably react to his little sister dating someone who he knew to be a scoundrel who has done his fair share of sleeping around with “dancers” (and Deb) over the years:
“Batista is super protective of Jamie. He’s her older brother and like any older brother he wants what’s best for his little sis. But…I have no idea how Batista would take Jamie and Quinn dating…if that even happens. They really do keep us in the dark on this show. We haven’t started shooting this season yet, so as far as I know, the writers could be introducing a new love interest for Jamie or just keep her a single girl.”
In case you haven’t heard, “Dexter” season 8 will officially start shooting next week, though it is not clear just when some of Garcia’s first scenes will be. She has teased already that the once-naive nanny may not longer be this way moving forward, and it leads you to wonder just what she would do with the information about Dexter being a serial killer if she was to ever find out.
Are you a fan of the Quinn / Jamie relationship, or is this the sort of thing that merely makes you groan? Be sure to share some more of your thoughts below, and you can read some more “Dexter” season 8 scoop over at the link here.

Not Quinn! He’s no Doakes as an adversary, so I’m not a fan of him. I’d like to see him get taken out by the Koshkas, not that that will bring Issac back either.

I ship these two and the actors seem to have a lot of chemistry (something Hannah and Dex never had, despite naming an entire episode after it) but their scene together in the season finale felt way too rushed. It was just thrown there as if they only wanted to indicate that there will be a new direction for Quinn. I actually would not mind it at all, it can only be better than this stripper storyline.
