‘How I Met Your Mother’ season 8, episode 15 preview: Barney questions Robin

We have one final sneak peek to share now from Monday night’s new “How I Met Your Mother” season 8 episode “P.S. I Love You,” and the basic theme of this one seems to be fairly simple: Barney is finding great humor in the fact that Robin had an impression near the end of her Robin Sparkles days.

While the video below does tragically not give away just what the obsession was over, it apparently ended in a pretty humiliation way, as the target of Robin’s infatuation ultimately ended up getting a restraining order against her for 50 yards.  She is understandably embarrassed about it, and she seems to be related it to something going on with Ted. (We don’t quite know what it is, save for the possibility that it could involve Abby Elliot’s character of Jeanette.)

From the standpoint of comedy alone (and not so much anxiety over a marriage proposal), this has to be one of the most-anticipated episodes of the season. We’re finally going to learn the follow story about why Robin gave up on her pop-star dreams, and hopefully in the process catch a few more sweet moments between her and Neil Patrick Harris’ character. The producers have already said that this could be the finale to the Sparkles story, at least if they do not think up a crazy idea to run with during the show’s ninth and final season.
