‘How I Met Your Mother’ season 8, episode 15 preview: More Robin Sparkles

Anyone want to watch even more footage of Robin Sparkles’ return to “How I Met Your Mother” season 8? The writers and producers are really going all out for the episode Monday night entitled “P.S. I Love You,” and there is really no greater evidence of this than the latest sneak peek that was posted by CBS.

In this clip, you get a greater sense of just how this Canadian pop star’s downfall is portrayed during an “Underneath the Tunes” video, which features appearances from a myriad of big Canadian names including Paul Shaffer, K.D. Lang, Jason Priestley, and ever stars from the NHL talking all about just what Robin Sparkles’ impact was on their life in between “Let’s Go to the Mall” and “Sandcastles in the Sand.” (In all honesty, we didn’t remember the second single being so big of a hit north of the border.)

At the very end of the video, meanwhile, you finally start to see the beginning of Robin’s breakdown. It appears as though she is tired of singing about why the mall is such a fun place, and after a number of tours across Canada she may be ready to change up her squeaky-clean image. While it does not show it in this special, at one point Robin does opt for a grungier look prior to giving up the dream of being a major pop star for good. At the end of all this, she moves to New York City and starts to officially by her real name of Robin Scherbatsky.
