‘Dexter’ season 8 spoilers: Jennifer Carpenter’s awesome reaction to table-read
On Friday, “Dexter” fans definitely had a reason to celebrate courtesy of the first table-read from the new season; and now, we have even more of a reason to smile based on what series star Jennifer Carpenter had to say about it.
In a new post on her Twitter account, here is what Carpenter specifically had to say in terms of an immediate reaction … though she could of course not really offer up anything that would constitute a concrete spoiler for what is going to be coming up in the June 30 premiere:
“Our first read-through was today. I can’t say anything, but… We’re gonna wear u the f**k out!! Rest up! You’re gonna need it ;)”
Considering that it would not be an exciting post from Carpenter without swearing in it, you know that the premiere has to be pretty incredible. Story-wise, the writers have definitely set themselves up pretty well. You have the aftermath of the LaGuerta shooting that has to be dealt with right away, just as you also have the mystery as to whether or not we are going to see any more of Yvonne Strahovski’s Hannah McKay or some other faces from past seasons.
Some of the side stories that we will likely get answers to almost right away include whether or not Batistia ends up actually retiring following the death of his ex-wife, and if Quinn and Jamie Batista actually have their random conversation from the season 7 finale turn into a full-fledged relationship. (If this happens, it is certainly more bad news for Dexter.)
