‘Dancing with the Stars’ rumors: ‘Jersey Shore’s’ Deena Cortese, Katherine Webb

It’s just about at that time of year again when the “Dancing with the Stars” casting rumors begin to take over the internet; and with that, let’s focus now on a pair of names that are clearly getting a great deal of attention around the internet.

The first one really should be no surprise at all, given that “Jersey Shore” is over and there are only so many established shows a reality star can appear on to really stay in the spotlight: Deena Cortese. She is doing a little media tour at the moment campaigning actively to try and get on the ballroom competition, and based on what we’re seeing she could do rather well. She was a part of a dance team in high school, so she would definitely have more rhythm than one of her co-stars in Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino.

However, there is one problem that could make this a little bit unlikely: what motivation would ABC have to cast her? The “Jersey Shore” gang is no longer as popular as they once were, and the only two we feel like they would possibly get on the show would be either Snooki or Pauly D. We could be wrong here, though, since Deena is interesting television and the producers did cast multiple cast members from “The Hills” over the years.

Meanwhile, a certain Miss Alabama in Katherine Webb also admitted recently to Ryan Seacrest that she was in consideration, but she opted to do the celebrity diving show “Splash” instead since there was a spot guaranteed for her there:

“If I were to do any show it would have been Dancing With the Stars just because I love dancing … I don’t know the technicalities on that, but I know that I was on the list I think, but I had a secured spot for celebrity diving so I went ahead with diving.”
