‘The Bachelor’ spoof ‘Burning Love’ officially finds TV home on E!

As if having “The Bachelor” on TV was not enough, we now have this news to share: the hilarious spoof of the franchise entitled “Burning Love” has now found a home of its own away from the internet.

On Monday, E! announced that beginning on Monday, February 10 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern time (ironically right after new episodes of Sean Lowe’s season of “The Bachelor” air), the first season of the show, which stars Ken Marino as a dim-witted fireman named Mark Orlando trying to win the affection of a wide array of women, will air 30-minute episodes weekly until the show reaches its conclusion. Although the entirety of this season has already premiered online, there is still some novelty in seeing the likes of Kristen Bell, Jennifer Aniston, and Adam Scott again on a much larger screen.

In a statement, E!’s President of Network Strategy and E! News Cyndi McClellan had the following to say about getting the rights to the web series:

“E! viewers love clever comedy, and ‘Burning Love’ is a hilarious parody of one of pop culture’s biggest franchises that is perfect for our audience … We recognize that good content can come from anywhere and are excited to bring this popular web sensation to television in a meaningful way.”

“Burning Love,” which is executive-produced in part by Ben Stiller, is already getting set to release their second season online, with the show this time shifting to become a mockery of “The Bachelorette.” If you haven’t caught the trailer yet for the show, which features several returning celebrities along with Michael Cera and other new stars, be sure to head on over to the link here.
