‘Dexter’ season 8 spoilers: ‘The Walking Dead’ alum cast as…
You have to love symmetry, right? Nick Gomez appeared in two of the first episodes of “The Walking Dead” season 3 as an inmate at the prison; and now, he is also set to appear during the first two episodes of “Dexter” season 8.
In a new post on his Twitter account, the actor confirmed that he is going to be making an appearance on the show, and his IMDb page confirms that it will be for both the currently-untitled premiere along with the second episode currently-titled “Every Silver Lining.” While there is no confirmation as to the character he will be playing, we are guessing that it is likely the role of Javier. As reported previously, the character is described as a tough, smart hitman, and we currently have a feeling that he could be a candidate to be the first person who ends up appearing on Dexter Morgan’s table.
“Dexter” season 8 is going to officially start filming in a matter of weeks now in Los Angeles, with the show returning to Showtime on Sunday, June 30. Thanks to the decision by the network to pair the show up with new drama “Ray Donovan,” the writing staff is having to work overtime in order to ensure that there is a proper story put together by the time that the show ends up airing. (For those curious, though, it will still be season 7 rather than season 8 that is considered for Emmy voting, since the cut-off date for nominations happens a little bit earlier in June. Therefore, if this is the final season, the show will still be eligible in 2014.
