NBC’s ‘The Voice’ winner Cassadee Pope gives brief update on album
Cassadee Pope became arguably the most-popular winner of “The Voice” ever this past fall, but she seems to be well aware that the real challenge happens now. She has to find a way to be in the forefront of her fans’ minds while she is away from the spotlight recording her debut album, and then she needs to have the mixture of the right songs and the right promotional campaign in order to get the music out there beyond just people who cheered for her on the show.
With all of this in mind, Cassadee seems to definitely be on the right path. As she explains in the video below, she is hardly hard at work in the studio creating some new music for her debut solo album, and the hope here with it is that we will have more of an opportunity to get to know her lyrically than we did during her time on the show.
As for a release date, that is something that Pope is not quite ready to hand out just yet. Why? She explained that one of her real fears is making an announcement before the album is further along, since the last thing that she wants to do is disappointment anyone who expects it to be out on a given date and then something happens. Hopefully, we will be hearing a lead single in the months ahead, especially since we would love to see her return to the show in the spring if she is ready to perform something new.
