‘The X Factor’ USA notes: Fifth Harmony, Demi Lovato, Tate Stevens
Now that we have debunked the news about Simon Cowell possibly returning to “The X Factor” UK later this year, let’s turn our attention to our morning tradition of providing a few headlines from the American version of the show.
New Fifth Harmony poll – Just in case you want to continue to vote for something related to Fifth Harmony at the moment, the ladies from Simon’s latest girl group have been hyping up their participation in a new PopDust poll about the best reality competition contestants of all time. They previously won a poll all about the best up-and-coming artist of 2013 at the site, and they have a pretty good shot at winning this one if the comments over there are an indication. (Their biggest competition will probably come against Adam Lambert, who has a legion of diehard fans of his own.)
The most important thing to take from polls like this is that it keeps the fanbase unified, which is extremely important at a time in which there is not much else going on. This will coming in handy months down the road, when the group is actually getting set to put out some new music.
Demi’s still recording – While Demi Lovato has been quiet on Twitter for most of 2013 thus far, she has at least teased on Twitter a few times that she is back in the studio working on some music … even while she is battling illness. The latest example came late last week, when she went in and worked despite suffering from strep throat.
There’s no word yet on just what the sound for Demi’s album will be this coming town, but we’re guessing it will be more in the vein of “Give Your Heart a Break” and “Skyscraper” than “All Night Long.”
A normal day for Tate – Just for a reference point that a $5 million recording contract does not have to change you, know that Tate Stevens spent his Sunday watching NFL football while trying to take care of his sick wife. Tate has also been recording an album for much of the month, as well, but it’s a little easier to predict: it will be traditional country.
