‘True Blood’ season 6 spoilers: How will life change for Stephen Moyer’s Bill?
If you look back at the past several seasons of “True Blood,” most of the Big Bad characters have traditionally been new faces that were introduced to the show, whether it be Russell Edgington, Marnie, or to a certain extent Salome. However, season 6 of the show may be in part going a different route thanks to the shocking transformation of Bill Compton. into something that really no one ever saw coming: a villain. He is a bizarre sort of vampire demigod, and it’s still unclear just what sort of rules this new form is going to dictate on the character.
From the get-go this year, there will be a new man devising the story in Mark Hudis, and he explained a little bit in a university news letter for his alma mater Haverford College (per Hypable) just how different of a season we are going to be seeing out of the character moving forward:
“Certainly he’s not going to be the Bill we know and love … He’s going to have more bite, no pun intended.”
Another important thing that Hudis emphasized is that after season 5 dealt largely with the politics with vampires all around America and in turn the world, season 6 is going to keep itself much more centered around the town of Bon Temps and some of its characters. For anyone who wants to see more of the characters actually spending time together rather than focused on some fragmented storylines, this has to be some welcome news. We know that Sookie and Jason, for example, will spend much of the year together trying to find out the vampire in Warlow who murdered their parents.
Fang-tastic news, right? Well, if you want to see what Joe Manganiello had to say about the start of “True Blood” filming (which began earlier this month), you can do so over at the link here.
