‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 4 spoilers: The Canadian connection
While we have seen some traveling from the characters on “The Vampire Diaries” over the years, the majority of the time it has been within America (save for the occasional flashback of the Originals in some other country, where Elijah is sporting some seriously crazy hair).
So with this in mind, the following bit of news comes across as both surprising and also a little bit exciting. Speaking to TV Guide in a new interview, the search for Silas (and consequently the vampire cure) is going to take many of these Mystic Falls homebodies all the way up to a small island off the coast of Nova Scotia. As for whether or not the show is actually going to end up actually filming in the province, that remains to be seen (but it seems doubtful, given the amount of time and money that it would take to make the trip up to Canada).
Nonetheless, isn’t it always exciting to see a little bit of new terrain when it comes to the show? The craziest part about the cure storyline at the moment is that they are really basing so much of this on conjecture, and it is always possible that they make the massive trip up north only to later realize that there is no cure, or that the “cure” is some sort of metaphorical term designed to help relieve vampires of the pain of immortality. (In other words, some instructions as to properly stake themselves.) No matter what the result, this should be an interesting and engaging story to watch over the next few weeks.
Do you want to know whether or not Holt is going to be appearing in the upcoming “Vampire Diaries” spin-off “The Originals”? Be sure to hear what she has to say on the subject here.

Wouldn’t it be nice to see more of Tatia and Katherine’s lives in Buglaria, and for Elena, Damon and quite possibly Elijah all take a trip to Bulgaria for some reason or the other, (I’ve seen pics of the capital Sofia, it looks amazing), maybe to find out about Elena’s ancestral home. It’s funny how she’s so curious about everyone else’s background but not about her own. Maybe the writers can write a storyline about a deep, dark Petrova family secret that explains how they can ruin so many people’s lives (including their own).
