‘Breaking Bad’: Steven Michael Quezada running for Albuquerque school board
Steven Michael Quezada, who plays Hank’s partner and DEA agent Steven Gomez on the series, has decided to run (unapposed) in Albuquerque for the school board. During a recent appearance on CNN, Quezada expressed his concern for education in New Mexico and wants to help other children that struggled through school like he did. He said: “My concern for education in New Mexico has always been there. I’m one of those kids that struggled through school, and I feel like I fell through the cracks.”
For all of Quezada’s fans out there that are worried that he has given up acting and will be moving into a world of politics, don’t fret – the actor assured viewers that he will continue to work in the entertainment industry, as well as contribute to the school board. He said: “The good news about New Mexico is we bring a lot of movies, a lot of television series out here, so I’m hoping I continue to work out here in New Mexico along with being part of my community.”
