‘Scandal’ season 2 spoilers: Flashbacks and shockers galore

There are some big events coming up on “Scandal” season 2, and the good news here in particular is that you do not really have to wait around long for most of them to happen.

According to a new report from Zap2It, there is going to be one shocking moment that happens during the new episode on Thursday night that you will certainly not see coming, and the only other bit of shocking dish that we can share at the moment is that this will involve one of the show’s major characters. Therefore, we’re thinking that maybe Olivia or Fitz drops some huge information, or one of them lands in hot water.

On a different note, this episode will also travel a little bit back in time, as we take a look at some of what transpired during the infamous (and rigged) Presidential election. With that in mind, expect to also see the return of Tom Amandes as Fitz’s former opponent Samuel Reston. It should make for an interesting episode, and one that will hopefully build on some of the fantastic momentum that “Scandal” already has going on.

Just in case you are looking for some further evidence as to how this show is currently dominating the Thursday-night airwaves, know this. From the time of the season premiere to where the show was on Thursday, Kerry Washington and company have grown by more than 30% in the adults 18-49 demographic. There are not many other network dramas that can really boast anything similar, and really the only show on the major networks at all with a similar sort of success story is “The Big Bang Theory.”
