‘Breaking Bad’ season 5: Bryan Cranston, Anna Gunn call series end ‘bittersweet’
We are still 6 months away from “Breaking Bad” season 5 (the last season of the series) and although we still have some time until it airs fans are already welling up with tears over the end of the show.
As it turns out fans are not the only ones that don’t want to see the series come to an end – the cast is also torn up about the end of “Breaking Bad”, but also feel that it’s time for the show to wrap up the story. On the red carpet at the Golden Globes, Sheknows.com had a chance to talk to Bryan Cranston and Anna Gunn about the end of “Breaking Bad”, asking them how they feel knowing that it’s coming to a close. Gunn said:
“It is bittersweet. I mean, I love this show I love the people. …So it’s gonna be sad to see it all come to an end, but it’s the time. I think Vince knows exactly what the arc of the story line is and what he wants it to be, and so I think it’s the right time.”
Cranston had a similar point of view, adding that he knows when they are filming the last scenes in March that the tears will flow. He said:
“I imagine by the end of when we’re shooting in March that there will be some tears. In an odd way, we’re sort of used to that, as actors. Starting and stopping projects, splitting apart. Creating new bonds, splitting those apart. You know, we’re kinda like atoms.”
