‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 4, episode 10 preview: Ian Somerhalder as trainer
Whoever knew that Jeremy Gilbert would be turning into the Karate Kid on “The Vampire Diaries“? The CW has just released their first clip from the “After School Special” episode that is set to air on Thursday night, and this classic chunk of nostalgia is immediately what the video reminds us of.
Before we get too deep into this, how about we start things off with a massive round of applause for Jeremy’s physique? Steven R. McQueen has obviously put a great deal of effort into making himself ripped, but having bulging muscles and a white tank top is still not match for being a 150-year old vampire with a great deal of experience in violent behavior. Jeremy spends the first part of this clip sparring against Matt (who is basically becoming the show’s whipping boy at this point) and winning until he challenges Damon to see what he is really made of. Based on the results of this fight, it’s still pretty clear that he has quite a bit of work to do.
What is particularly interesting about this episode is that both of the Salvatore brothers really have stories that could not be any more different if they tried. While Damon will be preoccupied with these vampire hunter training sessions, we are going to be seeing Stefan spend some time locked up with Elena inside of a library as a part of a stunt pulled by Rebekah. She is particularly unhappy about being daggered, and her missing is going to be for answers. Based on what we’re hearing, though, we’re probably not going to be seeing the same sort of fighting here as in the training ground (and there will be no Paul Wesley in a tank top).
What do you think about this clip? Just in case you have not yet heard the awesome news about the Klaus-centric “Vampire Diaries” spin-off, you can read more just by heading on over to the link here.

Looking forward to hunter Jeremy, but I am little disappointed that the writers are letting Rebekah dominate the storyline again. I am hoping that she will try and take the cure for herself, and be successful. She might end up on the receiving end of revenge from both Caroline and Elena. Shouldn’t she be confronting Klaus after all he’s the one who daggered her, she always seems to go after Stefan and Elena. She’s a bit obssessed with them.
