‘Glee’ season 4 spoilers: Naya Rivera talks story for Santana, Brittany, and Sam
Are we finally going to see Santana Lopez make the jump to New York City? For anyone who has been deeply invested in “Glee” season 4 for some time, this is a story that they have wanted to see an answer to. After all, we have seen so little of the actress actually in Louisville that it is hard to know whether or not she is actually happy there; and after she finds out that her ex-girlfriend Brittany is dating a fellow New Directions member in Sam, it may be possible that she finally decides that enough is enough.
Naya Rivera was one of the many “Glee” stars present at the Television Critics Association earlier this week, and she spoke out to The Hollywood Reporter about just what could be coming up for her character. Specifically, she explained just what exactly it would take for Santana to make a move after getting accustomed to a certain way of life:
“It would take courage, as cheesy as it sounds … There has to be some catalyst back at McKinley that really would have her realize there’s nothing left there for her.”
Even if this catalyst ends up being Brittany and Sam, we still have a hard time believing that Santana is ever going to close the book on being back with her fellow Cheerio … especially given how much the fans are clamoring for them to be back together. You can expect much of this storyline to take place in the February 7 episode entitled “Diva,” and there are still plenty of questions left to ask including just what happens if Santana does move … including how she will make a living and whether or not she will stay with Rachel and Kurt.
