‘Downton Abbey’ season 4: Michelle Dockery takes popularity in good humor
Thanks to “Downton Abbey” season 3 airing now in the United States, many of the stars of the British import are getting an opportunity to face a flurry of publicity all over again following the show’s launch in the United Kingdom in September; and outside of the inevitable Shirley MacLaine questions (which are literally everywhere under the sun right now), one of the other most-entertaining parts of many of these interviews is getting the opportunity to hear about how many of the cast members are getting accustomed to being on an international sensation. Considering that the premiere for season 3 drew nearly eight million viewers on Sunday, it is safe to say that the show is rather taking off around the globe.
Luckily, many of the actors are even taken the lighter moments of their new-found fame well, including Michelle Dockery, who recently shared a pretty funny anecdote to Parade about how her eyebrows are actually becoming the center of attention:
“I was told there is a Twitter account called Lady Mary’s Eyebrows, which is just bonkers! I tend to not take it all too seriously, but it’s incredibly flattering. I’m just very proud to be a part of something that’s captured people’s hearts.”
Dockery was recently confirmed to be a part of season 4 of the show, which means that we are going to see plenty more of Mary on both coasts as the show progresses deeper into the 1920s. Without giving any spoilers away for American viewers, it’s safe to say that you are going to have plenty to talk about in the weeks and months ahead when it comes to her character.
