‘Private Practice’ series finale spoilers: Read the full synopsis
“Private Practice” fans, have your tissues ready: on January 22, the ABC favorite will be going off the air after six seasons with an episode that should serve as a fitting conclusion to many of the characters’ stories, whether it be new mother Charlotte, a soon-to-be wife in Addison, or a number of other doctors at Seaside Health and Wellness who have spent much of the past several years trying to establish some sort of order for their lives.
Now, we finally have an official description of this final episode from the network, and the best thing about it is that most of the overtures made here are that many of our favorite characters are going to receive a happy ending, and not necessarily the tear-jerkers that we have grown accustomed to thanks to Shonda Rhimes:
“ABC’s hit drama ‘Private Practice’ will end its run with a special farewell to the beloved doctors of Seaside Health and Wellness. Naomi returns to stand by Addison’s side on her wedding day, Cooper struggles with the hardships of being a stay-at-home father, and Violet begins a new project close to her heart.”
In case you have not heard, this episode (as mentioned above) is also going to feature the return of Audra McDonald, who will help Addison walk down the aisle, and there will also be some other surprises to go along with it. Is it possible that someone from Seattle grace could come down for her big day? Sure, but we would honestly be rather surprised considering her history there (especially with Mark now dead).
