‘Private Practice’ series finale spoilers: Meet one of the final patients

Even in the series finale, “Private Practice” is still going to be doing a little bit of what the show calls its calling card at this point: featuring doctors doing everything that they can in order to care for patients. With that in mind, we present to you the latest bit of guest casting associated with the show!

According to The Hollywood Reporter, NBC’s “Parenthood” actress Sarah Ramos has signed on for a role during the finale as a patient for Amy Brennenman’s character of Violet. At the moment, there is not much else clear about the casting, including whether or not she is actually going to be playing some sort of role in the larger story of the episode.

All we really know for certain about this episode at the moment is that at some point during it, Addison and Jake are finally going to get married in order to begin the next phase of their lives. We know that some past faces from the show will be there to see the couple say “I do,” but what happens to such characters as Sam, Cooper, Charlotte, and Sheldon is at this point still a mystery. This finale is something that is actually pretty hard to predict; while we have seen Shonda Rhimes show little fear when it comes to killing off characters, this is really the first time that she has been able to create a major series finale to any one of her shows. We’re hoping for a happy ending across the board, even though that rarely happens in life.
