‘New Girl’ season 2, episode 12 preview: Schmidt questions Winston’s behavior

Considering that Tuesday night’s “New Girl” is the first following a lengthy Christmas hiatus, you have to imagine that the show’s producers are going to pull out just about all of the stops to ensure that we have a pretty entertaining episode of television. Based on what we are seeing at the moment courtesy of some of the latest sneak peeks for the hour, there is really nothing we can do other than concur.

So what will this episode intimately be about? Like with many “New Girl” installments, there will be two storylines going, with the first one being a pretty bizarre decision by Jess to take Nick and his new girlfriend Angie (Olivia Munn) with her on a trip up to a cabin with her boyfriend Sam. You know that this is going to be very, very awkward since the presence of these characters together significantly lowers the chances that any one of them is going to have any sort of actual romance. Plus, Jess accidentally shoots out all of the power in the cabin.

The story that we are actually a little more excited about right now is the B-plot, mostly because Winston’s part has started to pick up as of late, and this sounds hysterical: Schmidt trying to become a better friend to him by giving him permission to act as “black” as possible around him. Of course, you know that Winston is just going to use this as a way in which to humiliate his pal to the best extent of his ability … and we are probably going to love just about every second of it.
