‘Fringe’ season 5, episode 11: First look at ‘The Boy Must Live’
“Fringe” season 5 wrapped up its run in 2012 with an episode airing on the day that the world was supposed to end … but in a matter of just three weeks, the world of the show (at least as we know it) will be drawing to its definitive conclusion. There is still quite a bit set to happen, and just the title for the upcoming 11th episode (appropriately airing on January 11) in “The Boy Must Live” suggests that there is just enough of a dark cloud hovering over this world to keep things exciting.
First and foremost, let’s share the official synopsis of the episode courtesy of Fox:
“As time dramatically ticks down toward the end of this acclaimed series, Peter, Olivia and Walter stop at nothing to save the universe from Observer rule. Walter enters the infamous deprivation tank in an attempt to uncover a key piece of information about the mysterious figure, Donald. Meanwhile, Captain Windmark sets out on a revealing mission of his own as long-standing questions are answered.”
The preview clip below does not necessarily make the distinction that all of the footage seen in it is from this episode in particular, and it is possible that they have found a way to shove some additional footage in there from the series finale to boot. However, we’re a little doubtful about that, mostly from the standpoint that this seems to be the sort of information that the show would be better off to keep secret for as long as it possibly can. The final two episodes of the show are set to air back-to-back beginning on January 18.
