‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 9, episode 9 preview: Callie’s not-so-nice warning

For the past week or so, we have often wondered to ourselves the following question: if things really are good between Miranda and Ben, why in the world would she suddenly develop cold feet for the wedding? Based on the latest sneak peek we have seen for Thursday night’s new “Grey’s Anatomy” season 9 episode, it turns out that none other than Callie may actually be to blame for the couple’s relationship woes.

So why exactly is she butting in some other people’s business? That is a very good question, but she basically tells Dr. Bailey that if she really wants to no be married to this guy, the best thing for her to do is to dump him at the altar. If she does this, he will be so embarrassed about going through with all of the planning stages that he is not going to want to be with her or bother about anything.

What Callie seems to be forgetting here is this: regardless of however negative a feeling she has about marriage and/or the hygienic habits of men, couldn’t Bailey find another way to pull the plug on the relationship that is just a little bit less hurtful? This is probably about as devastating a way as there is to break someone’s heart, especially someone who has by and large been good to you ever since the onset of the relationship. It seems as though Bailey is at least taking in what Callie is saying … but that is no guarantee that she will actually move forward with ditching her beau at the altar.
