NBC’s ‘Community’ season 4 spoilers: Jason Alexander checks in
“Community” is about to get a whole new sort of education … though this time, the educator is a clear-cut veteran of “Classic Comedy 101.” After being a legend thanks to his work as George on “Seinfeld,” Jason Alexander has now been cast on the cult sensation over on NBC for a role that is still very much under wraps. What we can tell you, though, is that this will be for either the eleventh or the twelfth episode of season 4, as they are the only two currently still being filmed.
The casting was first confirmed in a Twitter post by Alexander himself, who was sadly still unable to say very much other thank breaking the joyous news:
“Filming a crazy episode of COMMUNITY this week. Can’t say much about it but it’s a fun one.”
Alexander joins a long line of notable “Community” guest stars, a list that includes everyone from Josh Holloway (“Lost”) to Giancarlo Esposito (“Breaking Bad”) to even two guys in John Goodman and Jack Black who has stuck more to movies as of late. Matt Lucas and Tricia Helfer are two other names who are set to come up a little later this season, as they will be in attendance for an “Inspector Spacetime” convention.
After an agonizing wait following a three-and-a-half month delay for new episodes, “Community” season 4 is set to premiere on NBC on Thursday, February 7 at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time. The show will be taking the place of “30 Rock,” and it still has to face the formidable challenger known as “The Big Bang Theory.”
