‘Supernatural’ season 8 spoilers: A strange love triangle on the way

If you were to describe the Sam flashbacks with Amelia when it comes to “Supernatural” season 8 in one word, it would probably be “polarizing.” Some people love them, whereas other people hate them. Regardless, they are clearly something that everyone has formed some sort of opinion about.

With this, the following news is sure to either make people very pleased, or possibly rather upset. According to a new report via E! News, there is an interesting love triangle that is going to play out with these characters soon courtesy of Sam, Amelia, and, as it turns out, Amelia’s husband. The man is alive, and of course this is going to cause Jared Padalecki’s character all sorts of trouble.

How will this turn out for Sam? It’s always possible that we could be wrong, but for the time being, it is hard to really be that optimistic. After all, we are looking at a character here who traditionally is not, like Dean, very lucky in love. In many ways these guys are still married to their work, and what Amelia represents to Sam is the life that he could have if circumstances were different. However, they are not, and sooner or later he is going to have to come to terms with that. (If nothing else, looking at this relationship could force him to if things do not pan out.)
