‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 4, episode 7 preview: Klaus and Caroline fans rejoice

Klaus and Caroline fans are a patient bunch. Ever since it was first made apparent last season on “The Vampire Diaries” that this was a pairing potentially worthy of being “shipped” by some diehard fans, we have received the occasional tease that at some point down the road, there could actually be something present for these two beyond just a love-hate relationship.

So could this very thing come as early as the upcoming episode “My Brother’s Keeper”? Based on the latest sneak peek released by The CW, it’s possible, since we now know the context in which Joseph Morgan’s character joins Candice Accola for a romantic “date” during the Mystic Falls pageant.

As it turns out, this was not really any sort of elaborate plan to distract him so that Stefan and Damon could execute what they needed to without interference. Rather, Klaus asked to accompany Caroline to the pageant knowing full well that she promised him a date in return for the death of one of his hybrids, and he intended to cash in on this promise in one of the best ways possible. What better way for him to not only go out with Caroline, but do so in a venue where everyone can see them together? The moment we figure that Tyler finds out about this, he is going to be interested in punching his hand through a wall.

This episode is also not going to be a very good for fans who ship Stefan and Elena together with regularity, as she, just like the first Miss Mystic Falls Pageant back during season 1, is going to be spending her time getting closer to Damon.
