‘How I Met Your Mother’ season 8, episode 7 review: Bribes and blunders
One week after “How I Met Your Mother” season 8 ended Robin’s relationship with Barney, the door was now open for her to get together with someone else … at least if she wanted to. What did we see instead? At first, it was an incredibly wacky hour about how Robin acted as a strip-club agent in order to get Neil Patrick Harris’ character into the club of his choice.
At first, it appeared as though Robin was looking to sabotage her pal’s choice just so that she could keep him away from scantily-clad women … and maybe she was somewhere in her mind. However, what ended up happening here was a hilarious spoof of LeBron James’ famed “Decision,” with Barney deciding that he was going to “take his talents to Mouth Beach.” Robin accompanied him on his first trip, and we had a kiss afterwards! Are the two back together now? Hardly. It’s frustrating, but Robin still needs some time apart to figure out what she needs.
As for the other part of this episode, it was an insightful look at just how much Marshall has a tendency to give anything and everything his stamp of approval, even when it can come back to bite him. For one example of this, just look at how he recommended Brad (Joe Manganiello) for the job, only to later realize that he had been played by his former college pal in order to get information on an upcoming case. Now, Marshall is looking at the case of his life, and if he loses, the same can be said for his employment status. The only thing sadder than this? Ted realizing this week that most of his ideas actually came from other people. (Yes, this was the entire “Ted story” for the week.)

There’s a little bit of an issue with your opening sentence!
