‘Once Upon a Time’ season 2 spoilers: David and King George face off (video)
Even though King George may have been taken care of in the fairytale world that was, Sunday night’s new episode of “Once Upon a Time” season 2 is going to feature the man try all over again to take one Prince Charming down a few notches. What’s his motivation for it? It’s really the same as Rumpelstiltskin or many of the other characters on the show: power. There is nothing more valuable to some of these people, and they will stop at nothing in order to get what they want.
Of course, we already are starting to question the way in which King George is going about his quest here: by threatening to release the truth about David’s lineage to the townspeople in order to get what he wants. Are these people really going to care at all that he is not a prince by blood? It seems to me that these characters are at least somewhat progressive despite living in a world that is antiquated in many ways, and they would simply be happy to have a leader regardless of whether or not he is the child of a shepherd.
In addition to all of this, the residents of Storybrooke also have something else to worry about that may be a little bit more prominent on their mind for the time being: the murder of someone in town that has Ruby (otherwise known as Red) named as the primary suspect. This is the first time all season that Meghan Ory’s character has been thrust into the spotlight, and along with this story we are also set to learn this week more of how she handled her secret in the other world.
Do you think there is any way that King George slows Charming down at all?
