‘Dexter’ season 7: First photo of [spoiler’s] return!

Thankfully, “Dexter” season 7 is becoming very much about tying together some of our serial killer’s loose ends from the last … or at least reminding us that they are still around in some capacity.

During this past episode, we had Deb reminding us that Lumen is still out there in the world somewhere, even if Julia Stiles is not expected to be turning back up anytime soon. So what’s coming up next? Some of you who saw some paparazzi photos from earlier this year probably know this already … but for everyone else, it’s Dexter’s stepdaughter Astor! The character will make her return during “Argentina,” the eighth episode of the season airing a week from Sunday.

To this day, it’s remained strange that we have seen this character fall off of the planet, especially since she was such a huge part of the first four seasons of the show. However, she has really only made one appearance since she was sent off to live with Rita’s parents in season 5, and that was when she found herself in a little bit of trouble that allowed her and Dexter to repair their relationship. The wait has been a little bit longer when it comes to Astor’s brother Cody, who clearly loved Dexter and was devastated to be sent away from him. Will he ever return? The only issue that we see in this is that for whatever reason, the actor may have grown up faster than producers were hoping, or they just don’t have a story for him just yet. (It’s possible that he could appear this season, but there have not been any sightings of him.)

The reason for this title was unclear back when it was first announced, but we now know it to be a place that Hannah and Wayne Randall envisioned themselves settling down after their killing spree was over. Does this mean that Hannah has found peace? We’re not so sure, mostly because we don’t think that this sort of thing is really possible for her.
