‘Once Upon a Time’ season 2 spoilers: When will Captain Hook, Rumpelstiltskin face off?

Thus far, “Once Upon a Time” season 2 can be best described as a tale of two separate stories. On one side of the coin, you have the current quest to reunite the Charming Family after they were split apart, and then try and find a way to get them all back to their homeworld after originally being sent to Storybrooke by the Evil Queen. Then, you also have the folks out there seeking revenge, whether it be Cora, Captain Hook, or even to a certain extent Regina and Rumpelstiltskin trying to work out some sort of dastardly plot to place the course of the world’s future in their favor.

What makes all of this even more intriguing is that two of these villains in Captain Hook and Rumple hate each other courtesy of their own past, but based on what we are seeing on the show and hearing from Colin O’Donoghue (who plays the famed pirate), it could be a while before the two engage in the face-off of the ages. According to a brand-new report from E! News, the ABC series is currently shooting their tenth episode of the year, and they have yet to get to a point where Hook sees Rumple again for the first time in the present.

As soon as this happens, you have to believe that there are some sparks that will fly; at the same time, though, this may not be the only occasion in which we see a spark of some variety with Hook. He and Emma had a surprising amount of chemistry courtesy of their time going up the beanstalk, and based on her history loving bad boys including Michael Raymond-James’ Neal Cassady (otherwise known as Henry’s dad), you have to give these two a chance! (We’re shipping them regardless at this point.)
