‘The Big Bang Theory’ exec disses ‘The Bachelor,’ Twitter war begins

In what has to be one of the more random feuds that we have seen go down on the internet as of late, the man responsible for making “The Big Bang Theory” and “Two and a Half Men” has stirred up anger with “The Bachelor” over some comments that he made during the vanity card at the end of the CBS geek-based sitcom this week.

As you may recall, Chuck Lorre often used these brief one-second moments at the end of the episode (which you can typically only read with the help of a DVR) to talk about Charlie Sheen back when that meltdown was happening in full tilt in the spring of 2011. However, this time around he chose to specifically target the ABC dating show for producing what he believes to be a low-quality form of television:

“What does it say about us when we think the institution of marriage is threatened by gay people who love each other, but not by idiotic game shows like ‘The Bachelor’?”

Meanwhile, a number of the reality show’s own executive producers along with the host chose to more or less release to Kraken (using one of the quotes that was actually on “The Big Bang Theory” this week) when it came to their response. Check out some of them below.

Elan Gale, producer – “Someone has been freebasing crushed up copies of Dharma & Greg DVDs”

Robert Mills, producer – “Ironic that Chuck Lorre decides to bash #Bachelor and one of his stars @KaleyCuoco is a card carrying member of #Bachelornation”

“Bachelor” creator Mike Fleiss has yet to comment on the situation, but he really doesn’t even need to given some of the support that he is receiving courtesy of his team.
