‘Sons of Anarchy’ season 5 spoilers: Does Gemma want redemption?

“Sons of Anarchy” season 5 has by and large been a roller coaster ride for Gemma, and on Tuesday night, she hit one of her low points when Clay tried at first to cover up the car accident that put some of the people who Jax cares about the most in jeopardy. As a result of this, Jax ended up making a rather interesting deal with her: if she wants to try and redeem herself for some of her past actions, then she needs to use Clay in order to prove that he is responsible for the home invasions. Jax already pretty much knows that this is the case, but is still seeking out that elusive proof.

So does Gemma agree to go through with this? Judging from the first photo that was released this week for Tuesday night’s new episode, it does look as though she is visiting Clay at his own home … and that does bode pretty well for Jax’s plan. With all of this being said, isn’t it a little creepy for the guy to ask his own mother to sleep with someone? Definitely, even if we do understand what the motive is here.

With there only being just a small handful of episodes left on the show, the question that we really have remaining now is just how Jax is going to handle the Clay situation now. It’s honestly a surprise that Ron Perlman’s character has lived to see the light of day for as long that he has, especially when you consider just everything that he has put SAMCRO through over the years. This may just be the straw that breaks the camel’s back, even if Jax does have other things to worry about right now such as Damon Pope and the search for Frankie Diamonds.
