NCIS: Los Angeles season 11 episode 11: Is Sam leaving? Callen’s future
Let’s start, though, with Callen, as this episode allowed us to have the oh-so-great news that he is going to look for Anna! It’s not entirely clear where she is, but that isn’t going to stop him from doing whatever he can in order to find her. That’s not going to be an easy mission, but it’s going to be a fun one to watch unfold if the writers choose to give it some ample air time.
Meanwhile, for Sam he’s found a way to discover his happiness, and that includes sticking around NCIS long-term, even after Hetty retires. There’s a chance that he and Callen can work together in order to bring forward a new generation of agents, and there’s a lot of exciting stuff that could come from that. It defines a legacy and allows them to make this office as great as humanly possible. Sam’s not leaving!

As for some of the romantic stories, this episode allowed Deeks and Kensi to figure out that they are ready to be parents, but they still have a lot of waiting to do before figuring out if they can make it happen. They’re just not in control of everything, even though they would really like to be.
Finally, Nell and Eric are taking (somewhat) of a slower approach to their own future. Nell and her sister are moving in together, Eric is moving out, and while this may signal trouble for each other, they are still planning to continue to be together. They just don’t want labels or anything else defining them, or compounding stress on what is already a pretty-stressful situation for the two of them.
