The Walking Dead: World Beyond title for new spin-off series
In a new post on Instagram, franchise executive producer Scott M. Gimple confirmed that The Walking Dead: World Beyond is the name for this upcoming show, which is set to premiere at some point in the new year. This is a show meant to showcase a very different part of the apocalypse, one where there is a community by and large secluded from the outside world. It’s a legitimate society, one where people are growing up who haven’t really experienced life on the outside. They’ve heard the stories of the undead, but that doesn’t mean that they have encountered them on a regular basis.

Will this third The Walking Dead spin-off prove to be a hit? The jury is still out on that at the moment. While we think that the series proper is doing some good things in season 10, the ratings for both this and Fear the Walking Dead have both declined. There may be some people who feel as though this show won’t ever be given a chance by some, but yet, AMC still sees value. They recognize how hard it is to launch a show in 2019/2020 and they feel like there’s a chance for it to at least receive some decent numbers from the get-go.
