Saturday Night Live: Will Ferrell returning to host November 23
Today, the network confirmed that the former cast member is going to be coming back on November 23, which will allow him to also join the elusive five-timers’ club. We don’t think that SNL needed to go into overdrive in order to honor Ferrell, but we’re certainly not upset with the idea of getting him back.

What makes Will such a captivating SNL performer is how he is able to take what is sometimes a small moment and make it into something so much more. He can draw huge laughs from an impression or a bit of physical comedy. Sure, he’s done some great stuff outside of the show — for many, Anchorman is one of the best comedies of all time — but he’s also done some tremendous stuff on the show itself. We’ll never quite get over the greatness of his George W. Bush impersonation.
Getting more Will Ferrell, following the Harry Styles episode this coming weekend, just ensures that SNL is on the road to being better than ever. Just remember that we’re also going to be seeing Eddie Murphy for the final episode before Christmas. Now, if only they could get Tina Fey or Amy Poehler to host, this would be one of the greatest runs of hosts in recent memory.
Rest assured, we’ll have more news on Will Ferrell hosting SNL as we get closer and closer to the show coming on the air.
