SEAL Team season 3, SWAT, Riverdale season 4 rises vs. World Series

SEAL Team season 3

Who said that the World Series was going to be some sort of enormous ratings vacuum, sucking away the performance of a number of different shows? Based on what we’re seeing at the moment, it actually doesn’t feel like baseball has been much of a threat at all to primetime TV the past two days.

Instead, it feels as though some shows are improving this time around just because they weren’t airing opposite a big-time One Chicago crossover.

Great news for SEAL Team, SWAT – After falling to some lower numbers last week, there’s a little bit of a recovery now! Despite a breakup that still has us sad, last night’s SEAL Team generated a 0.7 rating and more than 4.6 million viewers — small increases on the live ratings that we saw for the week prior. The same goes for SWAT, which improved up to a 0.6 rating and more than 3.8 million viewers. We can’t sit here and guarantee that either show will be back, but it does feel more and more as though both of these shows suffer from airing opposite the Chicago competition in general.

With The Masked Singer off the air for the World Series, kudos to Survivor for winning the night with a 1.3 rating.

Solid news for Riverdale – The CW series recovered nicely, as well, from its previous low outing, generating a 0.3 rating in the demo. We’d say that we’re as worried about this show as we are either SEAL Team or SWAT, but it would be a lie. This show is an international powerhouse and it does really well via streaming both in terms of Netflix and on the CW’s official site. There is zero reason to think that it’s going to be in danger anytime soon. Nancy Drew, meanwhile, is another story generating a 0.2. It’s far too early to tell, one way or another, what The CW is going to decide there.

For those wondering, the three One Chicago shows averaged around a 1.2 rating and more than 7 million viewers following the crossover — another reminder that these shows are as stable and solid as any on television at the moment.
