The Blacklist season 7 ratings: Is there now cause for concern?
Yet, the latest batch of ratings for The Blacklist don’t do a whole lot to inspire confidence in the future. After all, we’re talking about an episode that generated a 0.4 rating in the 18-49 demographic, the lowest total yet for a new episode in that particular live measure. Sure, you can make excuses for it, including that season 6 never had to deal with fall competition and it’s sort of off on a programming island … but you do want to see it do a little bit better.

In the end, though, the big thing that we want to see for the show is for it to get one more season. We think there are enough empty spaces on the Blacklist (at least in terms of the top 150) in order to do another batch of episodes. We’d like to see that part of it completed. With that in mind, the suggestion that we have is this: Watch live, and convince as many friends and family to do the same. If not, watch after the fact and soon to help get NBC a little more ad revenue.
As for some other ratings news on the night…
Charmed and Dynasty – While neither show necessarily killed it last night on The CW, they actually added some total viewers — even while the demo rating stayed the same for both in a 0.2 and 0.1. This may not inspire too much confidence and yet, it makes us feel less like the sky was falling for either. They’re both going to do well in DVR totals.
The big winners – American Housewife, Hawaii Five-0, and Blue Bloods all generated the same demo rating in a 0.6. That’s far from spectacular, but don’t you just accept it in this era.
