Riverdale season 4 episode 2 spoilers: Senior Year begins!

Riverdale season 3

Following tonight’s emotional Luke Perry tribute, next week Riverdale season 4 episode 2 is going to revert things back to normal. This episode will bring you back to some of the already-established stories within the world of the CW show. Think in terms of senior year, big decisions for certain characters, and then also opportunities for conflict involving a number of different characters.

Typically, this is around when people start to think about what they want next in their lives; however, the circumstances for the likes of Archie, Betty, Veronica, and others are going to make that a little bit complicated for them.

Below, CarterMatt has for you the full synopsis for Riverdale season 4 episode 2, which is entitled “Fast Times at Riverdale High”:

FIRST DAY OF SENIOR YEAR – Archie (KJ Apa) encourages Mad Dog (Eli Goree) to attend Riverdale High and join the football team. Jughead (Cole Sprouse) meets Mr. Chipping (guest star Sam Witwer), who offers him a spot at an elite school called Stonewall Prep. Veronica (Camila Mendes) is conflicted when information about her involvement in Hiram’s (Mark Consuelos) arrest leaks to the public. Kevin (Casey Cott) applies for a spot on the Blue & Gold to make amends with Betty (Lili Reinhart). And Cheryl (Madelaine Petsch) goes head to head with Mr. Honey (guest star Kerr Smith), the school’s new principal Charles Melton and Vanessa Morgan also star (#402). Original airdate 10/16/2019.

Our hope, at least at the moment, is that this episode doesn’t forget about what happened tonight with Fred. Yet, at the same time the story has to move forward. It should inform Archie’s decision-making while also giving you a chance to see some other assorted twists and turns. Episode 2 will likely be more of a true introduction to season 4, and will bring in fully the show’s signature tone and all of the drama.

There is, of course, also this to think about — how long can Riverdale as a series sustain itself? Sooner or later, these characters are going to graduate; with that, won’t they want to leave town for some substantial period of time to focus on other things?
