Bluff City Law episode 3 preview: ’25 Years to Life’
As most attorneys know, there are few cases like trying to protect a seemingly-innocent man. These are the cases that can build up your resume and change your career. Think about the headlines if you’re able to success! We’re not saying that this is what Elijah and Jake should be thinking about while they’re on this case, but it is an important side effect of it. It’s also one of those coveted cases because from the moment you take it, there is that assumption that the odds are low anything will happen. Therefore, if it doesn’t pan out it’s easy to just point the finger at “the system” and claim that it’s one of the biggest reasons why nothing worked out.

10/07/2019 (10:01PM – 11:00PM) (Monday) : The fate of an innocent man is in the hands of Elijah and Jake. Meanwhile Sydney and Anthony take a case brought to them by old professor which may be more than it seems. TV-14 L
Just from this synopsis alone, you should get a good sense as to how this show is going to function. We’re thinking about it almost as more of a smaller-city version of Suits with more of a family element to it. Also, it’s less about corporate clients and more about trying to take on underdog stories. There’s a reason why “change the world” is highlighted in such big letters in the poster above. The hope here is that just a handful of lawyers can do that, and even if they aren’t able to, if nothing else, they could set the precedent that leads to more said world-changing over the upcoming weeks. We’re still early on in Bluff City Law and because of that, there are still opportunities for the show to change its identity … if it finds a reason to want that.
