God Friended Me season 2 episode 2 preview: Who is The Lady?

God Friended Me

Following tonight’s big premiere, what’s going to be happening next on God Friended Me season 2 episode 2 next week? Within “The Lady,” you will have a chance to see the story continue (in part) in Paris. Not only that, but you’ll continue to see Joy as a part of the story back in America. Her role long-term is somewhat of an enigma, as the God Squad’s going to need to figure out why she was chosen … and also why Miles was at the same time. Maybe in figuring out the why at the center of the mystery, we can then move over to start focusing more on the who.

Below, CarterMatt has the official God Friended Me season 2 episode 2 synopsis with some additional insight into what’s coming up next:

“The Lady” – As Miles wonders what the God Account has in store for him, he and Rakesh help Joy (Jessica Lu) with her new friend suggestion, Teddy (Bryan Greenberg), an aspiring self-help guru. Also, Cara follows a God Account-related lead in Paris, and Ali reveals to Arthur that she’s left Harlem Episcopal for a progressive LGBTQ-friendly congregation, on GOD FRIENDED ME, Sunday, Oct. 6 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Scenes from the episode were filmed on location in Paris.

It’s been confirmed already that God Friended Me is spending at least three episodes in and around Paris, so you will continue to see the city impact the story in one way or another after “The Lady” concludes. By the end of this upcoming episode, at least you should have a sense of how the God Account and Paris are connecting. While Cara may have first traveled to the country in order to ensure that she could work on Simon Hayes’ book, it’s going to turn out to have another sort of importance. Maybe it’s coincidence, or maybe it is a part of the intersection of faith and fate that exists within this show.

Who is the Lady? That’s going to be one of the mysteries entering this, based on how tonight’s episode ended. It could be Joy … but can we count on that?
