NCIS season 17 episode 1 spoilers: ‘Out of the Darkness’ – Ziva details!

The good news on the NCIS season 17 premiere just keeps on coming! We’ve gotten so many photos of Cote de Pablo on the set of the series, just as we’ve also received word that you will have a chance to see her as Ziva David for multiple episodes. It’s Christmas in August folks!

So what do we have for you today? Think along the lines of the first synopsis for the NCIS season 17 premiere, which carries with it the title of “Out of the Darkness.” Check it out below:

“Out of the Darkness” – Ziva surprises Gibbs with a cryptic warning, prompting him to question why she remained underground for years while being presumed dead by family and friends, and what led to her return, on the 17^th season premiere of NCIS, Tuesday, Sept. 24 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

The first question that we have upon reading this synopsis is simple: Is this confirmation that Gibbs didn’t know that Ziva was still alive? Not necessarily — he could’ve suspected that she was and was never able to prove it; now that he’s seeing her in front of him, the questions that have been in the back of his mind can start surfacing. Within this episode, we imagine getting a chance to see a mad dash of sorts for answers, but also hopefully updates on Ziva’s life along the way. Sure, we want there to be action, drama, and so much more, but we don’t want to forget along the way about some of the relationships along the way. We want to see Ziva reunite with McGee and Jimmy Palmer, just as we also want to see Ziva meet Bishop, Torres, Kasie and Sloane for the first time. There’s going to be a lot to unpack with Ziva coming back so be prepared for the ride!
