FROM season 4 episode 7: The Fatima, Smiley reveal!

Given how close we are to the end of the season, it makes sense that FROM season 4 episode 7 would present some sort of major reveal. With this one in particular, though, it is actually a reveal several weeks in the making!

For a while now, it has been rather easy to assume that we would be learning at least something more regarding the new dynamic-of-sorts between Fatima and Smiley. She constructed a golem in Colony House to try and keep him from lurking in her head. Because they now have this almost cosmic connection, it did make some sense that she could feel some of the same things as him — and with that, this leads to where we are now.

Through much of this week’s episode, one of the huge story threads was Boyd and Kenny working to try and take out one of the monsters — an idea that not only proved ineffective, but also nearly cost Kenny his life. He found himself trapped on the roof of the bus with Smiley coming towards him, and it was only due to Fatima impacting his mind that he was able to survive on some level.

So what does this mean in the long-term? Well, not only can Fatima know where he is at almost any given moment, but there is an added implication here that she can have some sort of impact on him. Could this lead to her impacting any others? Perhaps the most exciting place this could eventually go is where Fatima is able to help some of the others go into the tunnels, presuming that they will be able to avoid the monsters in an effort to free the children. This at least makes sense based on what we know at this point.
